Introducing Indigo Mentoring
At Indigo, we make mentoring easy.
Indigo mentoring was founded on one core idea: That no one should feel like they have no one to turn to for help. We use match-making technology to pair users with a mentor. Someone qualified to help. Someone experienced in the area they need support. Put simply, someone who has been there and done that.
Indigo’s founder James set up Tyfy in 2017 as a response to the growing need for greater connectivity amongst students. Since then, we’ve spent three years working in the Higher Education industry perfecting our mentoring software. Tyfy matches students with a mentor based on their course data, meaning that mentees can access support that is tailored to their individual needs. For mentors, we work on a system of employability reviews, making it worth their while to get involved. Crucially, by taking peer mentoring online we make support more accessible to those who need it most.

Since then, we’ve also developed LadderTech. LadderTech matches new start-ups and entrepreneurs with industry professionals in their area who can offer advice on the day to day challenges of running a business. By connecting the newest faces in entrepreneurship with their wider business community, we help them build business relationships that last.
Most recently, we’ve been working on a project to support carer communities in the mental health sector, helping them access remote mentoring – watch this space!

About Indigo
Indigo was founded on the belief that no one should feel like they have nowhere to turn for help.
We work across a variety of sectors, including Higher Education and start-up support, pairing users with mentors who can offer support.
Mentoring exists in varying forms across countless sectors, but it’s time consuming and usually poorly engaged with, which helps no one. By taking the mentoring process online, Indigo makes it easier for the person administering the scheme, and worthwhile for the person taking part.
“The idea was always that we never want anyone, anywhere to feel like they have nowhere to turn for help. The software allows us to make that a reality.”
– James, Founder
